PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a level of security, and narrow down information on an object and the number of pieces of information to be collated with when performing collation using identity of a physical object.SOLUTION: An authentication server 2 is configured to: store peculiar pattern information on a surface of a registration object and a personal identification number in association with each other in a database as to more than one registration object, respectively; acquire peculiar pattern information on a surface of an authentication object in accordance with an authentication request and a personal identification number therein; extract the peculiar pattern information to be stored in association with the personal identification number in accordance with the authentication request from the database; and determine whether or not peculiar pattern information corresponding to the peculiar pattern information in accordance with the authentication request is included in the extracted peculiar pattern information. |
