<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folded core panel for aircraft including a folded core that allows easy removal of moisture seeping thereinto and is less likely to cause delamination.SOLUTION: The panel includes a folded core 202 having peaks and valleys characterized by a corrugated zigzag pattern. The folded core includes an airflow channel 210. The airflow channel provides an egress to reduce the concentration of moisture in the folded core. The folded core is formed from a single piece of material. The folded core has varying face slopes depending on the force distribution requirements at the location of a peak 204. One or more folded cores are stacked to form a stacked core.</p> |
