PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and economical liquid purifying device which is effective in preventing diseases from being transmitted via a nutritious liquid, can cultivate plants continuously for a long time by degrading growth inhibitory substances released from the plants, and can be retrofitted to the nutritious liquid tank of an existing nutriculture device in nutriculture and hydroponic culture.SOLUTION: A liquid purifying device includes: a light scattering device which includes a light source and a light scattering member for scattering light from the light source in the horizontal direction; and photocatalyst bodies arranged around the light scattering device. The photocatalyst bodies include a photocatalyst carried and supported by a carrier and are immersed in a liquid medium. Thus the liquid purifying device can offer highly efficient performance in the sterilization of the liquid medium and the degradation of organic matter by three-dimensionally using the photocatalyst bodies. |
