PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle behavior control device and a vehicle behavior control method which are capable of improving responsiveness of control for generating friction of a target value in a suspension.SOLUTION: A travel mode selected by a vehicle driver from a plurality of pre-set travel modes is detected. At least one of a friction brake, a drive motor and an engine included in a vehicle is selected as a friction generation source that generates friction for suppressing behavior in a suspension, in accordance with the friction for suppressing the behavior of the vehicle and the detected travel mode. Further, a braking force-driving force distribution ratio between braking force of a wheel and driving force of the wheel necessary for generating, in a suspension, target friction that is friction for suppressing behavior, is calculated, and at least one of the braking force and the driving force is imparted to the wheel in accordance with the calculated braking force-driving force distribution ratio. |
