<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently code a multi-viewpoint image and to code at high speed without large scale processing such as block conversion, orthogonal conversion, etc. in other than a reference image.SOLUTION: When coding the multi-viewpoint image, suitable coding is performed respectively for the reference image of a viewpoint position to be a criterion in the multi-viewpoint image and for depth information representing a distance from an imaging apparatus to a subject in each pixel of the reference image. For an image excluding the reference image, a prediction image is generated based on the reference image and the depth information, so that the difference therebetween is coded.</p> |
