The present invention relates to a secondary battery and, more particularly, to a secondary battery comprising two detachable electrode leads. An aspect of the present invention provides a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly; and a battery case for blocking the electrode assembly from the outside via sealing. The secondary battery comprises: a first electrode lead having one end connected to the electrode assembly, protruding from the electrode assembly and having the other end exposed out of the battery case; and a second electrode lead detachably connected to the first electrode lead and extending from inside the battery case out of the battery case to be exposed. An embodiment of the present invention can provide a secondary battery having safety ensured fundamentally as the electrode leads are detached from each other by rise in the inner pressure of the battery to block an electric current if the battery is in an abnormal state.
