PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray tube in which the insulation distance can be held between a flat plate filament and a convergence electrode, electron density distribution can be made uniform in the focus, and a focus of desired size can be obtained.SOLUTION: An X-ray tube includes an anode target, a cathode, and a vacuum envelope. The cathode has a flat plate filament (11) and a convergence electrode (15). The housing section (16) of the convergence electrode includes a hole 53, a hole 51, and a space 53. Following relationships are satisfied: 0<d≤2Y, and -2Y≤fd≤2Y. |
