<p>The invention relates to a method of masking data making up a user profile associated with a node of a network, a user profile being made up of a subset of elements present from among a set of possible elements. The method of masking comprises a step (32) of obtaining an initial data structure comprising a predetermined number of binary elements, a so-called binary element being able to take a value from among two possible values, the initial data structure being representative of the elements present in the user profile, and, for at least part of said binary elements, a step (34) of applying a probabilistic operation of inversion of the value of said binary element, dependent on a probability value calculated on the basis of a predetermined confidentiality parameter, making it possible to obtain a masked data structure representative of the elements present in the user profile. The invention also relates to a method of estimating similarity between a first node and a second node of a network using at least one masked data structure obtained by the data masking method.</p> |
