<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for detecting the remaining amount of welding wires. Disclosed is an apparatus for detecting the remaining amount of welding wires which includes a spiral spring having a front end fixed to a central shaft formed inside a case; a reel having a base end of the spiral spring fixed, and rotating around the central shaft by elastic force formed by the spiral spring; a strap coiled around the reel, and having a perforation formed; a sensor having a withdrawing groove formed at a bottom surface of the case to enable the strap coiled around the reel to be withdrawn, and detecting the perforation of the strap installed adjacent to the withdrawing groove to be towed through the withdrawing groove; and an attached member provided at an end of the strap to be attached to a pressing plate pressing welding wires stored in a pail pack. Accordingly, a pail pack is replaced to supply welding wires before the welding wires are completely used, thereby preventing stoppage in operation of an automatic welding apparatus, thus improving productivity in a welding process.</p> |
