<p>The present invention relates to a damping hinge assembly of a food container, wherein a bidirectional damper, which is relatively cheap, is used. When a cover is opened, opening can be smoothly and easily performed because resistance does not occur. When the cover is closed, resistance occurs so that the cover is not rapidly closed by means of a dead load. The bidirectional damper for bilaterally generating resistance is coupled with a rotary cap connected with a hinge bracket of the cover and a rotary shaft member connected thereto. A ratchet gear is inserted in the outside of the bidirectional damper. A lock is installed in the hinge housing. The lock overstrides the gear teeth of the ratchet gear to allow the ratchet gear to rotate when the ratchet gear is rotated in an opening direction of the cover. The lock is caught in the gear teeth of the ratchet gear to limit the rotation of the ratchet gear when the ratchet gear is rotated in a closing direction of the cover.</p> |
