Provided is a turning tool for internal machining in which a spiral groove is provided in a head portion that is moved into a processing target. The turning tool for internal machining according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a head portion and a bar-shaped tool body that has a shank portion which extends from the head portion. The head portion is provided with a flat portion that is formed to be flat toward the shank portion from a tip portion moved into a processing target, an insert pocket that is eccentric from the center line of the tool body and is recessed with a step at one corner part of the flat portion, and a chip pocket that extends toward the shank portion from a part adjacent to the insert pocket and is formed to have a spiral curve shape so as to surround an outer circumferential surface of the head portion across the center line of the tool body and includes a cutting insert that is replaceably mounted on the insert pocket.
