PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal device which can repeatedly use a seal material inserted into a work, and to provide a seal method.SOLUTION: A seal device comprises: pressure-sending means 11 which pressure-sends fluid into a work 1, a seal material 12 which is inserted into an opening hole 1a of the work 1, and suppresses the leakage of the fluid from the opening hole 1a, and come-off prevention means 14, 15 which prevent the come-off of the seal material 12 from the opening hole 1a. The seal material 12 has a cylindrical part 12a which is opened toward an insertion tip side, and the cylindrical part 12a is formed so as to be elastically deformed to a direction in which the inner pressure of the work 1 is raised, by the pressure-sending of the fluid. Furthermore, the seal device comprises a correction member 13 which has a rigidity higher than that of the cylindrical part 12a, and is used for correcting the elastic deformation of the cylindrical part 12a generated by a rise of the inner pressure of the work 1. |
