<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a vehicle drive apparatus capable of increasing regenerative power of a drive motor; and a vehicle with the vehicle drive apparatus.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive apparatus 10 includes: a rear motor 11, an inverter circuit 13 for controlling driving of the rear motor 11; a capacitor 14 electrically connected to the inverter circuit 13 and a main power source 8 as a secondary battery; and first switch S1 through fourth switch S4 for changing electrical connection and disconnection of the main power source 8, inverter circuit 13, capacitor 14 and ground. When the rear motor 11 is regenerating, with capacitance of the capacitor 14 at less than an upper threshold, the electrical connection between the main power source 8 and inverter circuit 13 is shut off by the first switch S1, the electrical connection between the capacitor 14 and main power source 8 is shut off by the second switch S2, the capacitor 14 is electrically connected to the inverter circuit 13 by the third switch S3, and the capacitor 14 is grounded by the forth switch S4.</p> |
