Provided are an M2M platform apparatus and a communication service execution method whereby an optimal service based on data generated by M2M communication can be appropriately executed as needed by effectively utilizing the generated data. An M2M platform apparatus (100) is provided with data repositories (230, 240) for storing data transmitted from M2M devices (20A, 20B), a data format processing unit (210) for determining a format of the data stored in the data repositories, a big-data analysis proposal unit (220) for analyzing the stored data and proposing details of a service to be executed on the basis of the data, a service execution/startup unit (360) for requesting control for an M2M device or a communication apparatus on the basis of the proposed service details, and a rule/policy management unit (320) for causing data to be stored in the data repositories on the basis of a rule or policy relating to handling of data stored in the data repositories. |
