Disclosed are a downlink data transmission method, apparatus, and system on a virtual multi-antenna system. The method comprises: N terminals receiving downlink data and/or a downlink demodulation reference signal from one base station or multiple base stations, where the N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2; and one terminal in the N terminals receiving the downlink data and/or downlink demodulation reference signal of the base station and forwarding the downlink data and/or downlink demodulation reference signal to M terminals, where the M is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1. A first forwarding unit of the apparatus is configured to forward, after one terminal in the N terminals receives the downlink data and/or downlink demodulation reference signal of the base station, the downlink data and/or downlink demodulation reference signal to M terminals, where the M is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1. |
