PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station and a synchronization method therefor which can maintain the accuracy of frame clock and suppress consumption of resources, even when there is trouble in communication with a GPS satellite.SOLUTION: A synchronization method for a base station 110 performs frame synchronization by using reception timing of control signals at which the respective control signals are received from another base station. The base station 110 comprises: a control unit 112; a clock generation unit (voltage controlled oscillator 126) which generates basic clock; and a clock control unit 114 which controls clock speed by applying a control voltage to the clock generation unit. The clock control unit corrects the basic clock of the base station by changing the control voltage according to the timing of control signals received from the other base station, at frame synchronization. The control unit shortens intervals of frame synchronization when a variation of the control voltage at the frame synchronization is equal to or more than a predetermined value, and extends the intervals of frame synchronization when the variation is less than the predetermined value. |
