PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide irrigated ablation electrode assemblies that have improved manufacturability and reliability.SOLUTION: An irrigated ablation electrode assembly 10 comprises a distal member 20, a first manifold 22, and a second manifold 24. The distal member 20 includes: an outer surface; an inner surface; and at least one passageway radially extending from the inner surface to the outer surface. The first manifold 22 includes an outer surface, an inner cavity, and at least one passageway radially extending from the inner cavity to the outer surface.
