The present invention relates to a secondary terminal linked to a mobile terminal and a method for linking a mobile terminal to a secondary terminal, and more specifically, to a mobile terminal linked to a wireless terminal that performs a fundamental phone call function in link to the mobile terminal by using short range wireless communication, a message transmission/reception function, a ringtone remote control function, and a function of automatically generating warning sound when the distance between the mobile terminal and the secondary terminal exceeds a preset distance, and a method for inking a wireless terminal to a secondary terminal. According to the present invention, since a typical mobile terminal is stored in a separate place such as a bag or a handbag and a portable secondary terminal is carried, it is possible to improve portability and increase convenience of communication by enabling a user to make a phone call and to send and receive messages using the secondary terminal by one hand.
