PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image display device that enables a stress of an observer even in a long time use by reducing a load to an eye in use of the observer.SOLUTION: In a state where a line of sight of an observer is caused to look down onto a lower side, an observation of a picture is enabled, and reduction in a load to an eye EY in use of the observer is enabled. Even in a long time use, suppression of a stress of the observer is enabled. In particular, even when positions of the eye, nose and ear of the observer are away from a standard position and even a standard wearing state is not ready for an intended observation in a look-down direction, a virtual image display device 100 is configured to: change a posture (a wearing state) of the virtual image display device by a nose reception part 40 functioning as an adjustment part; adjust an emission state of picture light from a light guide member 10 corresponding to an individual difference in the observer; change an angle &eegr; in the look-down direction BD with respect to a front surface direction SD; and be able to cause an observation by a suitable line of sight to be performed. |
