Provided is an elastic wave filter device in which transverse mode ripples can be effectively suppressed. An elastic wave filter device (1) has serial and parallel arms and also has a plurality of elastic wave resonators, each of which has an IDT electrode configured to have, when a direction in which electrode fingers (23, 24) extend is defined as the width direction of the IDT electrode, a central area in the middle in the width direction, a low sonic velocity area on the outside of the central area, and a high sonic velocity area further on the outside thereof, with the width (W1A) of the low sonic velocity area of at least one of the elastic wave resonators being different from the widths (W1B) of the low sonic velocity areas of the other elastic wave resonators.
