The seismic isolator (1) is equipped with: a ring-shaped laminated elastic body (6) obtained by alternately laminating thick rigid steel plates (4, 5), elastic plates (2) and thin rigid steel plates (3); and a cylindrical plug (9) press-fitted inside the ring-shaped laminated elastic body (6) as a vibration-damping material. The cylindrical plug (9) comprises a thermally conductive filler such as a metal oxide, flake graphite of at least 100 µm mean particle diameter, and a tackiness-imparting resin.
