<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material punching method and punching device that prevent contact of a punch residue with a blanking female die during the conveyance of the residue.SOLUTION: A punching device according to the invention comprises: a punching die 30 that punches a blank of predetermined shape from a sheet material; a blanking die having a blanking male die and a blanking female die below the blanking male die, and cutting off from the sheet material a blank punched by the blanking male and female dies; a conveying part that conveys a punch residue, which is a sheet material remaining after the blank is cut off by the blanking die, in a predetermined direction and above the blanking female die; and a pressing line 34 provided in the punching die 30 and used for forming in the punch residue a groove that prevents the punch residue from suspending by its own weight during the conveyance by the conveying part.</p> |
