<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide search priority order on the basis of the selection of video data to be searched and the hierarchization of video meta data to improve the efficiency in video searching and reduce the time to search for desired recorded video data.SOLUTION: A video signal recording and reproducing device includes a video meta data creating unit that creates video meta data hierarchized into upper video meta data and lower video meta data in terms of whether or not the image feature amount of video data satisfies set conditions, and a video searching unit that receives video searching conditions, performs searching the upper video meta data for pieces of video meta data recorded in a recording database, to specify video meta data satisfying the searching conditions, and outputs video data corresponding to the specified video meta data.</p> |
