an acoustic sensor element; an acoustic waveguide that comprises a acoustic coupler coupled to the acoustic sensor element, a tube that has a first tube end coupled to the acoustic coupler, and a second tube end acoustically couplable to a fluid conduit; and a circuit assembly coupled to the acoustic sensor element, the circuit providing a diagnostic output.
