POLYMER PROPPANT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

The present polymer proppant and method for producing same relate to oil and gas production techniques that use materials made from high-molecular weight compounds which fulfill high requirements with respect to the physical and mechanical properties thereof. The proppant is used as propping granules, used in the extraction of oil and gas by hydraulic fracturing. The technical result of the present invention is an increase in the thermal resistance of the proppant, the material of which provides a compressive strength of at least 150 MPa at a temperature of not less than 100°C. The polymer proppant is in the form of microspheres made from a metathesis-radically cross-linked mixture of oligocyclopentadienes.
