A communication method in order for a user of a first vehicle (10) comprising a communication device to bypass a roadway (21) on which a second vehicle (20) has stopped, said second vehicle (20) comprising sending means for sending notification that said second vehicle (20) has stopped on said roadway (21) to a set of communication devices located in a predefined range around the vehicle (20); the communication device of the first vehicle (10) comprising receiving means for receiving notification that the second vehicle (20) has stopped on said roadway (21), said method comprising a preliminary step in which the communication device defines a first route (IT1) for the first vehicle (10) comprising said roadway (21), a step of inputting a piece of information concerning the stoppage of the vehicle (20), a step in which the sending means of the vehicle (20) send, via a communication network (5), to the receiving means of the communication device, a notification that said second vehicle (20) has stopped on said roadway (21) in order to bypass same, a step in which the communication device (12) receives the notification that the second vehicle (20) has stopped on the roadway (21) and a step in which the communication device defines, based on the received notification, a second route (IT2) allowing said roadway (21) to be bypassed.
