An array substrate comprising: a substrate (10), multiple pixel areas (30) formed on the substrate (10), and a black matrix (15) separating the pixel areas (30). Corresponding to an area where the black matrix (15) is located, the substrate (10) has arranged thereon a thin-film transistor. The pixel areas (30) comprise a first electrode (17) and a second electrode (20) that are used for generating an electric field to drive liquid crystals. The second electrode (20) is arranged above the first electrode (17). The pixel areas (30) also comprise: a color filter layer (16) that is arranged between a gate insulating layer (12) and the second electrode (20) and is distributed in the pixel areas (30). Also provided are a manufacturing method for the array substrate and a display device.
