PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering control device and a vehicular steering control method capable of performing SBW control and control of drive support function even when a stored steering angle cannot be read out.SOLUTION: When voltage of a battery becomes less than a voltage threshold in the on-state of an ignition switch, a clutch in the open state is switched into the fastening state. When voltage is the voltage threshold or more, straight travelling of the vehicle is determined and, thereafter, when it is determined that the vehicle stops in the non-steering state, the clutch is switched into the open state. During a period until the clutch in the fastening state is switched into the open state, drive support function is controlled by using a steering angle obtained by continuously changing the steering angle estimated immediately before the clutch is switched into the fastening state up to the steering angle estimated when the straight travelling of the vehicle is determined. When the clutch in the fastening state is switched into the open state, the control of the drive support function and the calculation of a target steering angle are performed by using the steering angle estimated when the straight travelling of the vehicle is determined. |
