1. A releasable, surface-adhesive device capable of simultaneous adhesion to two or more target surfaces, comprising:
two or more adhesive pads, each independently comprising:
a planar backing layer having high in-plane stiffness; anda planar layer of an elastic material having an adhesive surface on at least one side for adhering to a target surface, wherein the elastic material is impregnated onto the backing layer on at least the side opposing the adhesive surface; and a tether component attached to the two or more adhesive pads to form a surface-adhesive device capable of simultaneous adhesion to two or more target surfaces. |
