This retainer (40) comprises: a circular main body (42) having a plurality of pocket holes (42a) that house balls (30); and a resin section (44) injection molded using a resin including a solid lubricant and using the main body (42) as an insert component. The resin section (44) integrally has: first sections (44a) provided in the inner circumferential surface of pocket holes (42a) in the main body (42) and forming a plurality of pocket surfaces (46) that come in sliding contact with the balls (30); and a second section (44b) provided in the outer circumferential surface (or the inner circumferential surface) of the main body (42) and forming a guide surface (48) that comes in sliding contact with an outer wheel (20) (or an inner wheel (10)). Weld lines (W) in the resin section (44) are formed at positions that are not exposed to both end sections, in the retainer circumferential direction, of the pocket surfaces (46).
