The present invention relates to an apparatus for providing an azimuth and, more specifically, to an apparatus for providing an azimuth, which calculates an azimuth using an angular velocity detected by a gyro sensor rotating at an arbitrary angle and a rotated angle. The apparatus for providing an azimuth, according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an angular velocity sensor for detecting an angular velocity applied to a main body; a driving unit for rotating the angular velocity sensor at an arbitrary angle; and an azimuth calculation unit for calculating an azimuth at which the angular velocity sensor is facing by using the sensed angular velocity and the angle. |
