<p>The present invention relates to a fuel system for a combustion engine (1). The system comprises a fuel tank (2), a fuel line (3) for conveying fuel from the fuel tank (2) to the engine (1), a filter housing (5, 7) containing a removable filter element (5a, 7a) adapted to filtering the fuel in the fuel line (3), and a return line (11) which has an extent between an inlet (11a1, 11a2) in the filter housing (5, 7) and an outlet (11b) in the fuel tank (2). The return line inlet (11a1, 11a2) is situated at a higher level than an upper portion of the fuel tank (2). The return line (11) is adapted to returning fuel remaining in the filter housing (5, 7) to the fuel tank (2) at times when the filter element (5a, 7a) is removed. The return line (11) comprises a venting device (12) adapted to leading air out from the return line (11).</p> |
