PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for making it possible to return an MCF response within a specified time even at the time of Non-ECM reception in an IP FAX.SOLUTION: Reception of facsimile is started in the case where at least one of a facsimile machine and a transmission side device is not a device able to communicate at network speed in Internet facsimile communication, or in the case where the facsimile machine and the transmission side device are devices able to communicate at the network speed, and in transmission side information, ECM communication capable of the recovery of image data failed in reception is set. Information indicating that it is not a device able to communicate at the network speed is set as reception side information, and retransmission to the transmission side device is performed in the case where the facsimile machine and the transmission side device are devices able to communicate at the network speed, and in the transmission side information, non-ECM communication not performing the recovery of image data failed in reception is set. |
