<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of projecting a larger image while suppressing decimation of pixel values due to trapezoidal distortion correction of a projection image.SOLUTION: A projector has image signal processing means 17 for generating image data based on an image signal to be inputted, and image projection means for modulating the light emitted from a light source in a light modulating device according to the image data, and projecting the modulated image onto a projection surface as a projection image. The projector is further provided with trapezoidal distortion correction means 15 for correcting trapezoidal distortion occurring in the projection image, and region setting means 201 for setting the region information indicating the number of separator lines becoming the boundary of a plurality of partial regions, and the position of the separator lines, in order to separate the projection image into the plurality of partial regions. The trapezoidal distortion correction means 15 corrects the trapezoidal distortion of each of the plurality of partial regions on the basis of the region information.</p> |
