<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus configured to convert vibrational energy of a vibration member to thermal energy, while preventing toner image defect to be caused by vibration, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus 100 softens or melts toner with heat generated in a heat generating roller 102, as a heating member, to be fixed to a transfer sheet S as a recording medium. The fixing apparatus includes a vibrator 103 which is a vibration member for coming into pressure contact with the heat generating roller 102 to vibrate in a direction (arrow B direction) orthogonal to a direction (arrow A direction) pressing the heat generating roller 102.</p> |
