a focusing assembly configured to receive ultraviolet light and to focus the ultraviolet light on a biological sample; at least one transducer configured to receive photoacoustic waves emitted by the biological sample in response to the ultraviolet light, said at least one transducer positioned such that said at least one transducer and said focusing assembly are coaxial; and a processor configured to record and process the received photoacoustic waves. |
