The present invention relates to a process for workup of a mixture obtained in polycondensation processes, comprising at least one diol, monomers, oligomers and/or polymers, comprising the steps of: a) transferring the at least one mixture obtained in a polycondensation reaction, comprising diol, monomers, oligomers and/or polymers, into at least one distillation still (3), b) heating the at least one mixture in the at least one distillation still (3) to the boiling point without reflux of the volatile components of the mixture released during the heating, especially comprising the at least one diol, into the distillation still (3), c) transferring the volatile components of the mixture formed during the heating of the at least one mixture in the at least one distillation still (3), especially comprising the at least one diol, into at least one rectification column (5), and d) further separating the volatile components of the mixture in the at least one rectification column (5), with performance of the heating of the mixture in the at least one distillation still (3) in step b), the transfer of the volatile components of the mixture into the at least one rectification column (5) in step c) and the separation of the volatile components of the mixture in the at least one rectification column (5) in step e) under reduced pressure. The present invention also relates to a plant for performing the process according to the invention. |
