The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sliding cam assembly and, more specifically, to a method for manufacturing a sliding cam assembly capable of satisfying abrasion resistance requirements of a sliding hollow pipe as the sliding cam assembly repeatedly slides with respect to a shaft by fixing a cam piece to the hollow pipe by diffusion bonding; minimizing the amount wasted during machining as each component is separately processed and combined; and shortening the processing time without separate heat treatment of the cam piece.
