<p>The mouth ventilation mask (1) according to the invention, which does not cover a patient's nose when it is worn by a patient, comprises an elongated body (10) for channelling the respiratory exchanges of the patient wearing the mask, said body defining a first geometric axis (Z) and being provided, at one of its opposite axial ends, designed during use to be turned toward the patient wearing the mask, with a peripheral skirt (15) covering the patient's mouth, said skirt being provided with a sealing lip (16) suitable for being pressed on the zones around the mouth, which are respectively comprised between the patient's nose and upper lip, situated to the right of the right canthus of the patient's lips, comprised between the patient's lower lip and chin, and situated to the left of the left canthus of the patient's lips. In order to improve the sealing and comfort of the mask, the skirt has, on its side intended to be turned toward the patient during use, a rear face that supports the sealing lip such that, when the mask is not worn, said rear face is substantially cylindrical, while being centred on a second geometric axis, which is substantially perpendicular to the first axis, and the sealing lip runs over that rear face following a substantially elliptical outline (E), the large axis (X16) of which is substantially perpendicular to the first axis and the small axis (Y16) of which is substantially parallel to the second axis.</p> |
