PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal resonator which inhibits a gas occurring from a joint member from adhering to a crystal element to thereby reduce fluctuations of the oscillatory frequency of the crystal element.SOLUTION: A crystal resonator includes: a substrate 110; a crystal element 120 mounted on the substrate 110; and a sealing lid body 130 which is provided on the substrate 110, has an outer edge formed into a rectangular shape when planarly viewed, and covers the crystal element 120 in a sealing manner. In the sealing lid body 130, a recessed part 131 cut out from an outer side surface to a lower surface is formed. The lower surface of the sealing lid body 130 contacts with an upper surface of the substrate 110, and a joint member 150 is provided at an area ranging from the recessed part 131 onto the substrate 110. |
