PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, information processing method, and program capable of improving the operability when enlarging and reducing a display image.SOLUTION: A control unit 110 includes a calculation unit 114 that calculates a reference distance L1 that is the distance between a reference point S and a depression point P1, calculates a control distance L2 that is the distance between the reference point S and a depression point P2, and calculates a variable power ratio M on the basis of the reference distance L1 and control distance L2. The control unit 110 includes an enlargement and reduction unit 115 that creates image information on a variable power image obtained by enlarging or reducing the original image at the variable power ratio M from image information on the original image displayed on an operation display screen. The control unit 110 transmits the image information created by the enlargement and reduction unit 115 to a display unit, and the display unit displays, on the operation display screen, the variable power image obtained by enlarging or reducing the original image on the basis of the received image information. |
