The press-fit type connector terminal includes a pin section having a U-shaped or quadrangular cross-section, and a contact section situated at a front end of the pin section, the contact section including a contact piece surrounding an imaginary center line parallel to a longitudinal axis of the pin section, and a slit formed at a part of the contact piece and extending substantially parallel to the imaginary center line, the connector terminal being comprised of a single bent metal plate having elasticity.

1. A press-fit type connector terminal comprising:
a pin section having a U-shaped or quadrangular cross-section; a contact section situated at a front end of said pin section; and C-shaped binders, said contact section including: a contact piece surrounding an imaginary center line extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of said pin section, said contact piece being in the form of a barrel or a spindle; and a slit formed at a part of said contact piece and extending substantially parallel to said imaginary center line, said C-shaped binders being arranged around distal and proximal ends of said contact piece so as to surround said imaginary center line, said connector terminal being comprised of a single bent metal plate having elasticity.
