发明名称 Direct Rooftop Mounting Apparatus for Solar Panels
摘要 Disclosed is an apparatus for mounting solar panels and other rooftop objects to a shingle roof or other roof structures. The apparatus includes a panel-mount and a base-plate. The base-plate is securable to the roof structures. The panel-mount can be secured to the base-plate and intermediary flashing plate. The panel-mount includes vertical sidewalls adapted to receive and hold wires, and panel-mount top surface adapted to seat solar panels. In one aspect, the panel-mount top surface includes an alignment projection adapted to align solar panels in one of two orthogonal directions. Grounding pins are arranged in a square pattern and aligned with the corners of the alignment projection in order to assure that the solar panel frame will make contact with at least two of the grounding pins in either of the two possible alignments.

主权项 1. A rail-less solar panel mounting device for securing a solar panel to a mounting surface, including: a panel-mount, including a planar top adapted to receive the solar panel, a panel-mount base parallel to the planar top, a first vertical sidewall and a second vertical sidewall each extending directly downward from the planar top and extending directly upward from the panel-mount base, the first vertical sidewall and the second vertical sidewall form opposing planar outside surfaces of the panel-mount; the panel-mount base including a first mounting portion extending outwardly from the first vertical sidewall and a second mounting portion extending outwardly from the second vertical sidewall, the first and the second mounting portions each include a corresponding fastener receiving aperture; an area between the panel-mount base, the first vertical sidewall and the second vertical sidewall, and the planar top defining a hollow cavity; and an arcuate wire channel indented on one of the opposing planar outside surfaces of the panel-mount defining an indention, the indention projecting directly from the one of the opposing planar outside surfaces of the panel-mount with a closed interior surface toward a center of the hollow cavity, and the indention is an arcuate shaped cavity for receiving and holding a wire with a portion of the arcuate shaped cavity intersecting the one of the opposing planar outside surfaces.
