This endoscope is provided with: an attaching and detaching part (40); terminals (34, 35) which, when an adapter is mounted on the outer periphery, contact an identifying resistor which is provided in the adapter and has a different resistance value for each adapter; a lead wire (26) which passes a current via the terminals (34, 35) to the identifying resistor; and a flexible substrate which is electrically connected to the terminals (34, 35) in the attaching and detaching part (40) and is electrically connected to the leading end of the lead wire (26) in a position behind the attaching and detaching part (40). |
