This solar cell has a collecting electrode (7) that extends in a first direction along a first principal surface of a photoelectric conversion unit (50). Said collecting electrode (7) contains a first conductive layer (71) and a second conductive layer (72), in order of increasing distance from the photoelectric conversion unit (50), and also contains an insulating layer (9), between the first conductive layer (71) and the second conductive layer (72), in which openings are formed. The first conductive layer (71) is covered by the insulating layer (9), and parts of the second conductive layer (72) are electrically connected to the first conductive layer (71) via the openings in the insulating layer (9). In a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the first conductive layer (71) extends, said first conductive layer (71) has the following: a non-center section (Lo) within the range d2−dI from each edge of the first conductive layer; and a center section (Lc) between said non-center sections. The density (Sc) of the openings in the insulating layer on top of the first conductive layer in the center section (Lc) thereof is higher than the density (So) of the openings in the insulating layer on top of the first conductive layer in the non-center sections (Lo) thereof. |
