The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an input shaft and, more specifically, to a method of manufacturing an input shaft capable of promptly and easily forming an input shaft transferring vehicle power by vertically forging and horizontally forging rod-shaped material, and considerably reducing loss of the material. The method of manufacturing an input shaft includes: (A) a process of forming an inner groove, a first flange, an inclined surface, and a body by vertically forging rod-shaped input shaft material with heated front end using a vertical mold; (B) a process of removing scrap burr generated around the first flange; and (C) a process of forming a second flange to be apart from the first flange by horizontally forging the input shaft material from which the scrap burr is removed using a horizontal mold. |
