<p>[Problem] To provide a catheter for diagnostic imaging which is capable of efficiently preventing an influx of body fluid as a drive shaft is pulled back and which is easy to operate. [Solution] A catheter for diagnostic imaging (100) comprising: a drive shaft (102) which is provided with an inspection wave transmission reception unit on a tip thereof; and a sheath (103) in which the drive shaft is movably contained and in which a small hole (106) is formed distal to the drive shaft. The catheter includes a non-return valve (130) that blocks flow from a distal end to a base end between the drive shaft and the small hole inside the sheath, the non-return valve having a tapered portion (131) inclined so as to taper toward the distal end of the sheath and a lip portion (132) which is provided on a tip of the tapered portion and on which a closable opening (133) that closes to block the flow is formed. When a greater pressure is applied to the distal end of the non-return valve than the base end thereof, a force in a direction of closing the opening acts on the lip portion from the tapered portion.</p> |
