<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a 3-substituted-fluoro benzoic acid derivative represented by formula (2) from a compound represented by formula (1) in a reaction of a short process using easily available raw materials, reagents and solvents.SOLUTION: A fluoro benzoic acid derivative (1) and an electrophilic reagent into which Rgroup can be introduced are reacted, in the presence of a base, with 2-methyltetrahydrofuran as a solvent, wherein X is a hydrogen atom or halogen atom, Ris a 1-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon group, alkyl sulfenyl group, aryl sulfenyl group, halogen atom, aldehyde group, carbinol group or the like.</p> |
