Provided is a power tool capable of maintaining the drive force for a motor and of preventing damage to a switching element, even for differing power supply voltages. An impact driver (1) has: a motor (3); a rectification circuit (23) that rectifies the input voltage from a commercial power supply (30); an inverter circuit (20) that supplies rectified voltage output from the rectification circuit (23), to the motor (3) as drive force; and a calculation unit (24) that, by changing the duty control of the motor (3) in accordance with the power supply voltage of the commercial power supply (30), suppresses the occurrence of overcurrent whereby the current value that flows to the motor (3) exceeds a prescribed current value. |
