Provided is an end face cleaning device for, when removing a coated material attached to an end face of stacked electrode sheets, effectively removing the attached material while preventing metal foils that become the base material of the electrode sheets from being inadvertently bent. Specifically, the end face cleaning device removes a coated material attached to an end face of stacked electrode sheets and comprises an electrode sheet sandwiching portion, a vacuum roll, and a vacuum roll moving portion. The coated material attached to the end face of the electrode sheets is removed by the vacuum roll through a cleaning cloth. |
